We participated in The Tallahassee Market Days for the 2nd time. It has become a family favorite! This year John Daniel joined in on the fun. J.D. made knick knack storage jars by collecting glass jars, glueing assorted figurines on the top of the lid, and spray painting the lid and figurine. They were really cute! He learned how to spray paint all by himself and got really good where he could do it without having any drips!
Emily's ribbon headbands sold so well last year, she made them again. She also added t-shirt scarves and flower pins to the mix.
They both did wonderfully! Emily made $35 I believe and J.D. made about $60! The thing I'm most proud about is that they came home, got out our World Vision Catalog and each picked out an item to buy for a family with the money they made....all on their own...without any prompting! Emily bought a Bible for a family and John Daniel bought 2 ducks for a family. They also used the money they made to buy gifts for everyone in the family....they made lists, went shopping (I drove) and purchased the items all on their own!
