TWO years old!

She is two years old...sniff, sniff!  I can't believe it!  She is the sweetest most polite child I have but also the most destructive and wild child I have...For Molly-roo's 2nd birthday we went camping...I guess her birthday will always fall on Spring Break and it works out good.  We had three other families camping with us at Torreya State Park.  My parents came over for a day (Molly's Birthday), some other friends came over for an afternoon and another friend and her daughter spent one night...Torreya Park is close enough that it was easy to "stop in!"  I will post pics of our fun camping trip later but I waned to give an update on Molly-roo!

She is 23lbs even...in the 12th percentile..I've never had a peanut like her!  She is running and jumping!  She is the pickiest eater of the three but has her very good eating moments.  She absolutely LOVES breakfast!  She says, "I hungy" right when she wakes up.  She wants to eat immediately.  She loves eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast, etc.  She will eat 2 eggs and asks for them on a weekly if not every other day basis.  She will eat two eggs and then down a bowl of cereal!  No wonder she picks over her lunch!  The other thing she loves to eat is anything with pasta and red sauce!  This is definitely her favorite dinner!

She is talking up a storm now and making 3 or 4 word sentences.  She actually says her "L's" better than John Daniel and it is so cute to hear and watch her roll her tongue to say an L sound.  She says Emily so cute!  She is very polite...says thank you, please, scuze me, hi, hess you without being asked for the most part.  We were at the library one day and an elderly gentleman was holding the door for us, as Molly walked out, she waved her hand at him and said, "Tank You!"  He looked down as if to say, "Did that just come out of that little thing's mouth?"

She doesn't entertain herself very well...she will find the smallest thing that someone has left out to get into. She likes to push babies in strollers and play with them in baby beds.  She loves any stuffed animal or baby doll.  She also likes to carry around bags or purses.  She could care less about building with Lego's or playing little people, etc.  Things like that don't interest her...she is motherly and wants to pretend that the baby is asleep or that she needs to eat.

She cries about a lot.  We are trying now to MAKE her use her words...but if she doesn't get her way, she throws DOWN...and her latest thing when she says No about something is to add the effect of spitting...I flicked her good for that one today...she just tests every boundary!

Molly is still sleeping in her crib and probably will be for awhile because she is so little!  She sits on the potty and makes the peeing noise with her mouth but has not actually gone pee...we really don't care at this point..probably will wait till after DC trip.

She likes to read books at bed and will sit and do that for a long time.  She likes to name all the things she knows.  She loves shoes and will put them on several times by herself.  When she sees a pretty outfit she says, "Aww,or Pritty!" and when I get her dressed in something pretty or new she always says, "show Daddy" and walks to wherever he is to show him.

I have not had her hair cut yet much to my mother's dismay but it is coming...I just don't want to cut off the pretty waves on the back..but her bangs need a trim for sure.  If your breath smells bad, she will say, "stink" which I guess isn't that polite!

She loves going to church...we drive in the parking lot and she says, "see Lilly, see Rigin (Reagan)" which are her friends at church.  She has NEVER, NOT ONCE cried going to stay in the class...she loves the teachers and doesn't mind leaving mommy and daddy.  She never minds us leaving her with babysitters and has spent the night out at my parent's house multiple times....she is just very outgoing and independent!

Molly likes to dance and she LOVES to sing.  Her favorite songs are Jesus love me which she calls Bible song, Itsy bitsy Spider which she calls Spider song, the ABCs, and Twinkle Twinkle.  She also LOVES Emily's children's choir musical songs.  When we get in the car, she says, "play Nic at Night" which is the name of the musical....and she sings sings sings.

Emily has taught her little sister some secret hand shakes, hand movements, or whatever you call them...My Dad laughed so hard when he saw them do it...One of them is like a pinkie swear but they wrap their pinkie fingers together and say "SISTERS!"...but the way Molly does it is just hilarious...she turns her head, smiles and really puts on a show.  The 2nd one is elbow to elbow and they say "Girl Power!"  Again, just hilarious...and the 3rd one is what they called giving "dap" back in my day but they put their knuckles together and bump them and make the sound of a bomb like they are blowing their hand up....John Daniel does this too and it is so funny...

The funny thing is when she does it with one person, she has to turn around and do the secret hand movement with everyone in the room just like she does when she gives kisses and hugs!  That is another thing, she loves giving kisses and hugs and will kiss and hug most anyone!

She was such a big girl at her 2 year old appointment...I just stood there and she sat all by herself on the big table with her diaper and sparkly shoes on as the doctor checked her out.  Not once did she reach out for me...she just sat there and stared at him!  Then he asked her to show him how she could jump and she performed!  She is certainly a lively one and keeps us on our toes and will more than likely keep us on our knees!  Happy 2nd Birthday to my LOVE!
