Date with Daddy

Last night was Emily's turn with her Daddy. John decided to take her for dessert to the Melting Pot. She has never been there, has no idea what fondue is and he thought it would be a fun time and something she would remember! They left after dinner time. Emily was so pretty and all dressed up. John said at first she thought the place stunk..which it does! She ordered a "Shirley Temple" which is kind of a tradition on their dates together. They had chocolate and peanut butter fondue with all the fruit and cake. She was so surprised and so into the dipping and how it all works. John said it was fun experiencing something new with her like that. I was thinking about it as they were gone last night that everywhere John usually takes her is fancy. She thinks going on a date means you go somewhere really nice. They have gone to Bonefish twice, the father/daughter dance (basically like prom for daddies and girls) and now to the Melting pot. Her poor boyfriends in the WAY OFF future are going to have it hard...she won't think it is a date unless she gets to go somewhere fancy! Maybe that isn't so bad after all though...she will certainly know what it is like to be treated like a lady, because her daddy has always treated her to the best!
